Lawson's Flower Fairy Madoka Magica Campaign

Spring is now in full bloom and Lawson had launched a new Madoka Magica campaign to commemorate the season! Aptly named the Flower Fairy series, Lawson's new collaboration campaign sees the popular convenience store chain introducing several new Puella Magi Madoka Magica merchandise based off all-new original designs. The campaign will run from the 18th of August 2017 till the 30th of June 2017 at all participating Lawson outlets. These new merchandise include rubber straps, a set of clear files and a (shikishi) illustration board of various designs. For more information about the merchandise, read on ahead or, alternatively, you can check out Lawson's official campaign website.

The first release of the campaign are a set of Flower Fairy Rubber Straps. There are 5 individual designs, each representing a different member of the Magica Quintet Magical Girls and they retail for 648 Yen (after tax) each. Each one of the rubber straps are based off the new Flower Fairy design and will be concealed in blind boxes adding an element of luck to each purchase. While I am generally not a fan of blind boxes, it is a common business practice in Japan to entice customers to purchase more than they normally would.

Next up, we have a Clear File Set with three clear files of varying designs (as shown above) within one set. Together with the set, a sticker for the upcoming Magia Record mobile game will be included as well. The entire set retails for 1,296 Yen which makes it a fairly good deal considering each set has three clear files.
Lastly, we have a little snack to round things off with a Langue de Chat 2 chocolate cream biscuit snack. This themed snack comes included with 1 of the 6 different Illustration Boards available as part of the campaign. Because Illustration Board itself is contained within the packaging, this too acts as a blind box of sorts.

But that is not all, in extension to the campaign, HMV will be offering B2 tapestries of each member in the Flower Fairy design. Slated for release on the 21st of June 2017, these tapestries are now up for pre-order at 3,500 Yen each. Unfortunately, this is limited to orders within Japan only.

Your best bet in getting these merchandise is likely to purchase it from Lawson in Japan. Otherwise, keeping a close eye on the re-sellers market (such as Mandarake) would be your next best option. If you have questions or opinions regarding the campaign, do not hesitate to leave it in the comments section below. I would love to hear about your thoughts on Lawson's new campaign.

Until the next time, thank you so much for reading and have yourself a wonderful day ahead!
